Theoretically, the correct grip is when the index finger of the other hand fits between the withers of the thumb and the tip of the longest finger of the person holding the rocket. In practice, it is important to get the best feel on the handle for various strokes. People using wrappers should remember that each wrapper, depending on its thickness, increases the circumference of the handle by about half the size. Rockets from individual companies may differ slightly in circumference and shape of the handle.
When choosing a grip, be guided only by the size of your hand. Height is not important - it happens that short people have very long fingers. This applies to both women and men.

On tennis racquets for adults there is a size specifying the circumference of the handle from 0 to 5 (next to the letter L or G) and the circumference of the handle measured in inches from 4 to 4 5/8: L (G) 0 - 4 inches, L (G) 1 - 4 (1/8 inch), L (G) 2 - 4 (1/4 inch), L (G) 3 - 4 (3/8 inch), L (G) 4 - 4 1/2 inch, L (G) 5 - 4 5/8 inches).
